How to Spa

What is there to do at the spa and when can I come?

Aside from enjoying a variety of spa services, guests may visit the following areas:

Please call the Spa for seasonal Spa hours.

What if I have special health considerations?

Please notify our Spa Consultants during the booking process if you have any medical/health issues or if you are pregnant. There are specific services which are not suitable for various medical conditions; therefore, we want to ensure your safety.

There are so many spa services, how do I know which one is best for me?

It is important to ask yourself a few questions while you explore the service guide. Do you prefer heat or cold? Are you looking for a service that is going to remove dry skin or put moisture into the skin? Is this your first Spa experience? Are you looking for something new and innovative or traditional to most spa menus? In the service descriptions, the steps of services with the ultimate benefit should assist you in choosing the right service for you. Our Spa Consultants are also skilled in identifying what may be best for you.

Is there a minimum age?

Spa guests must be 16 years of age or older.

What do I wear for my service and what should I bring to the Spa?

Robe and slippers are provided to wear. All amenities for hair and body care are provided. Please bring a bathing suit for the various water features available. The items of importance are more what not to bring. Please leave cell phones, pagers and jewelry behind. Smoking is also prohibited.

It is customary during most services such as massage, body treatments and baths to be nude. Watsu requires a bathing suit. During the painting party, a suit can be worn or disposable suits will be made available. Your Spa technician adheres to strict draping guidelines; however, please wear what is comfortable for you.

When should I arrive?

For your enhanced comfort and relaxation, we suggest that for most services you arrive 15 minutes prior to your treatment. It is advised to allow time to experience the steam room before your Spa treatment.

What if I am late for my appointment?

Arriving late will limit the time of your service, thus lessening its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end at the scheduled time to accommodate the next guest's scheduled appointment. The full value of your treatment will be applied.

Are there any services that require that I prepare ahead of time?

Most services on the menu only require that you come relaxed, yet there are a few that require some preparation.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you must reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify the spa eight hours before your scheduled appointment to avoid a 50% service fee. Cancellations of packages require 24 hours notice. Group cancellations fall under contractual requirements.

What about payment and gratuities for Spa services?

We accept all major credit cards and traveler's checks or you may charge your spa service to your resort bill. At the time of booking a credit card number is required to secure your reservation, yet payment will not be processed until check in.

For your convenience, an 18% gratuity may be added to your spa charge. A choice of leaving a gratuity at your discretion is also an option. On all package and group services, an 18% service charge will be added for convenience to the total treatment cost.

What if I get hungry?

Ristorante Brissago, steps away, has health-conscious entrees that can be delivered to the spa or guests are encouraged to dine in spa attire on the patio at Brissago. The beverage bar offers light snacks.
