Tommy Bahama has announced plans for the debut of a new resort concept with the introduction of the Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California.

For 30 years Tommy Bahama has brought the resort lifestyle to its guests through a wide range of products, combined with extraordinary hospitality in its retail stores, bars and restaurants. This expertise has uniquely positioned the authentic lifestyle brand to cross over into the resort business. This new venture will debut in late 2023.

Tommy Bahama is partnering with Lowe, a national commercial and hospitality real estate investor and operator and developer of world-class destination hotel and resort properties, to execute and present the Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa. With a strong presence already established in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley, Miramonte Resort & Spa will be Tommy Bahama’s first branded hotel. The Tommy Bahama brand embodies laid-back sophistication, aligning perfectly with Miramonte’s elevated amenities and curated offerings – all reflecting the feeling of an oasis where comfort and luxury become one.

As part of the rebrand and efforts to further enhance our resort offerings, we will be revamping our restaurant and bar (beginning in summer 2023), which will be reintroduced as Tommy Bahama dining experiences. In addition, the interior of our villa suites will be transformed with Tommy Bahama furnishings. The renovation of our restaurant, bar and villa suites is the final piece to the resort’s transformation. We know guests will appreciate the attention to detail and enhanced offerings, and we look forward to welcoming locals and travelers alike to our desert resort for a topnotch wellness escape, meeting retreat or dining experience.

The Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa will offer 215 custom-appointed rooms, including 23 suites, 35,000 square feet of meeting and event space (20,000 square feet indoor and 15,000 square feet outdoor), three resort-style pools, and signature treatments at our 12,000-square-foot spa is an ideal destination for leisure travelers, groups, events, retreats, and weddings, as well as a local’s hangout.

Miramonte Resort & Spa has recently completed phase one upgrades and will be undergoing some additional updates with their new Tommy Bahama partnership beginning in summer 2023. That work will include a reimagining of the restaurant and bar areas, as well as upgrades to the villa suites, guestrooms, signage, and the addition of a Tommy Bahama retail store.

What areas of the resort are being renovated?

• Miramonte Resort & Spa has already completed its phase one refresh which included guestroom upgrades; a new olive grove patio with six firepits and signature fire wall, new bocce ball court, and plush seating for guests to relax and enjoy the stunning mountain landscape; and upgrades to the resort’s signature Miramonte Pool including conversion to salt water, new lounge chairs and private cabanas, and refreshed landscaping.

Will the hotel have new a name? How about the restaurant and bar?

Yes! We’re pleased to announce that with the new partnership between Lowe and Tommy Bahama, the property will be named Tommy Bahama Miramonte Resort & Spa. Our signature restaurant and bar will also have a completely new look, name and feel.

Has Tommy Bahama bought the resort?

No, Lowe will continue to own Miramonte and manage the property through its CoralTree Hospitality subsidiary, with the addition of Tommy Bahama as an investment partner.

What does this mean for my reservation?

We are currently welcoming guests with new and existing reservations. If you have a reservation between now and next summer, your stay will be minimally impacted, if at all. Once the upgrades begin next summer, Miramonte Resort & Spa will remain open, with the anticipated completion of those upgrade projected by fall 2023. What will be closed during the renovation?

Will my guest room be affected?

The property recently completed renovations to its guestrooms and there is no construction scheduled to be near or in the standard guestrooms. Our villa suites will be undergoing upgrades so they will not be available for bookings during this period.

If the restaurant and bar are closed, what kind of food and drink offerings will be available? What are my dining options?

During renovations, the main restaurant’s dining room and bar spaces will be open in one of the many other beautiful locales within the Miramonte Resort & Spa for all mealtime offerings. Guests can also order food and drinks from the pool, spa and in-room dining menus.

Will the construction interfere with my experience while on property?

Our priority is, and continues to be, the comfort and satisfaction of our guests and ensuring a high-quality experience for everyone who visits our property. Miramonte Resort & Spa is working behind the scenes to ensure the renovation does not disrupt the guest experience, and guests of the resort can expect the same level of service and amenities. You may experience some construction or noise during the day as you walk through the lobby of the resort, as that is where the interior restaurant and bar are located. There will also be construction in our Villa building that is located near the fitness center. Our guest rooms, newly renovated patio and olive grove area, the Miramonte pool, and the spa will remain fully open during construction and disruption should be minimal.

During the renovation period, work will commence from 9am to 5pm daily.
